Kyle Ann Johnson

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit this page.  My name is Kyle Ann Johnson.  I was born and raised in Montana and have made the Helena area my home for the past 10 years.  I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Montana.

I specialize in working with clients beginning at age 11 through adulthood.  I work with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health.  I have extensive knowledge of substance use evaluations and have completed these for the Department of Corrections, the military, District and Municipal Courts and the county detention centers.  I also have seven years of experience in outpatient community mental health.  I began in private practice in the year of 2017.  I also have a long history of working with adolescents at an inpatient level of care.  More recently I have enjoyed utilizing Brainspotting in my work with adult clients who have general mental health and trauma in their lives.

Outside of work you can mainly find me chasing around my two kids in all their various activities.  I also enjoy staying involved and volunteering for things in my community.  During the summers you will most certainly find me at the lake or enjoying live music.

I believe that therapy should be a healing process to help address a wide variety of issues in our lives. The client-therapist relationship is a key component to successful growth and healing. I strive to offer an eclectic approach to therapy to meet each client’s specific needs. I work with my clients and meet them where they are in life, helping them develop a plan of action to address their individual needs. I will work with everyone to find their strengths, help them grow, and achieve their life goals. My goal is to offer each client access to mental and emotional healing so he or she can live a happy and healthy life.

I started down this path of becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in 2003, when I started as a Mental Health Technician at Shodair Children’s Hospital.  I went to school at Carroll College and got a Bachelor of Arts International Relations and a minor in Psychology.  I went to Cardinal Stritch University and received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology.  Since then I have worked in a variety of areas in this field including Mental Health Institutions, Clinical setting and Private practice.  I was officially licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with the State of Montana in April 2014.  I have been in private practice since 2015. I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) since 2017.   I have taken advanced classes in the use of EMDR including use of EMDR with Complex Trauma and Dissociation. I have completed a 7-month Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation in Boston Massachusetts.  I am currently a Certified Clinical Trauma Profession Level 2.

Emily Michalski-Weber

Hi, I’m Emily, a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for helping others navigate their mental health journeys. I’ve always been drawn to the human side of healthcare—the stories, the resilience, and the strength it takes to seek support. This passion led me to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing at Gonzaga University, which I completed in 2017. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University in 2007.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, and each experience has deepened my belief in a patient-centered approach to care. I strive to bring compassion, clinical expertise, and a strong sense of empathy to every interaction. To me, mental health care is not just about treatment—it’s about building trust, offering hope, and walking alongside my patients as they work toward wellness.

Outside of my work, I’m a proud dog mom to two very special pups—Bridger, my sweet and snuggly Goldendoodle, and Charlee, a spirited little Yorkie Poo who keeps us all on our toes. I share my life with my wonderful husband, Stephan, who is my biggest supporter and partner in all things, whether we’re traveling, relaxing at home, or just enjoying the small, joyful moments of everyday life.

I’ve always had a love for things that sparkle, both literally and figuratively. Whether it's a glittery accessory or a moment of unexpected joy, I believe in embracing the magic that can be found in the details. I’m also a proud Swiftie—Taylor Swift’s music has been the soundtrack to many seasons of my life, and her lyrics often resonate with the emotions and experiences I encounter in my work and personal life.
